Gloucestershire Police are appealing for information after a man was reported to have indecently exposed himself to a teenage girl in Cheltenham last week.

The incident happened at around 4.20pm on Wednesday 10 September as a 16-year-old girl was walking on Marsland Road, Hesters Way.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said: "A motorist driving a white Ford Transit van pulled up alongside the child and the male driver, who was alone in the vehicle, asked her why she was walking in the rain. She saw that the man was holding his exposed penis.

"The girl told the man she was not interested and he drove away towards Hesters Way Lane.

"He was described as being a white man, aged in his late 30s, with short dark ginger hair in a side parting and a dark ginger beard."

Officers have looked through CCTV footage and conducted house-to-house enquiries as part of the effort to track down the van and its driver.

They would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage which they believe is relevant.
