The Ancient Ram Inn in Wooten-under-Edge is thought to be one of the UK's most haunted buildings.

Dating back over 800 years, the Inn attracts visitors from all over the world who come for paranormal ghost hunts.

Woody is one of the Inn's main hosts. He took us on a tour of the ancient Inn right before Halloween weekend, a popular time for visitors...

People can come on a guided tour with Woody and the team, or they can brave it alone, there is even the option to stay overnight!

''Every room has a different spirit'' he told us.

Woody was extremely knowledgeable about the buildings paranormal activity, he recalled many tales of unexplained events and activity.

From the ghost of the Bishop warning visitors away, to stories of a seven foot shadow known as 'Big man', supposedly a very active presence in the barn...

''Numerous different people on different investigations through the years have seen the same thing so its not just a one off.

We also have children spirits that like to come in and mess around, tug on trousers and touch you and stuff like that.. Its a very active room, very active!''

Woody is one of the lead hosts at The Ancient Ram Inn.

Talking about what draws him to the spooky house, Woody said, ''It is just like a sponge, I am the water and it just soaks me in.''

Woody said the buildings reputation, as well as features on YouTube and TV shows has upped the Inn's popularity.
