An 18-year-old man has admitted assaulting two teenage boys in Stroud last weekend.

Chace Stevens, aged 18 and of the Middle Leazes area of Stroud, appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Monday (14 September) and pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Gloucestershire Police say the charges relate to an incident at Bank Gardens in Stroud last Saturday night (12 September) in which one 15-year-old boy sustained minor injuries and a second 15-year-old boy was punched in the face.

Stevens has been released on bail with conditions not to contact the victims directly or indirectly, not to enter Gloucester unless to attend court hearings and to live and sleep at his home address each night.

He is due to be sentenced at Gloucester Crown Court on Tuesday 13 October.
