Devon & Cornwall Police seek witnesses for the collision investigation

Devon & Cornwall Police are seeking witnesses following a serious road traffic collision involving two cars on the A381 in Kingsbridge.

The crash occurred between Palegate Cross and Leigh Cross at around 6.15pm on Sunday, 6th September.

A white Hyundai i10 driven by a 69-year-old woman collided with a grey Kia EV9.

Police report that the driver of the Hyundai sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Kia suffered minor injuries and was taken to Torbay Hospital.

Investigation Underway

The road was closed to allow for an investigation, reopening around 3am on Monday, 7th September.

Devon & Cornwall Police's Roads Policing team expressed their gratitude to the public for their patience during the closure.

Police are calling for anyone with information or dash-cam footage that may aid their investigation to come forward.
