Two women have appeared in court charged with preventing the lawful burial of a man whose body was found inside a car at a business park.

Dinah Manders, 88, of Exeter, Devon, and Rosemary Manders, 54, of Ilminster, Somerset, appeared before Truro Magistrates’ Court on Thursday morning.

They are both charged with preventing the lawful and decent burial of Glen Manders between October 15 2024 and December 19 that year.

The remains of Mr Manders, who was aged in his 60s and from the Avon and Somerset area, were discovered at a business park in Helston, Cornwall, in December 2024.

During the short court hearing, the women confirmed their full names, addresses and dates of birth.

They were not asked to enter a plea to the charge against them.

The case was adjourned to Truro Crown Court on April 24 at 10am, with both defendants released on conditional bail.

Devon and Cornwall Police previously said that Mr Manders was confirmed dead at the scene.
