Tributes paid to man killed in South Molton crash
22 year old Connor Hobbs died at the scene last Monday (12th May)
Tributes have been paid to a 22 year old man who died in a collision in South Molton, and has today (Tuesday 20th May) been named by police.
22 year old Connor Hobbs, from South Molton, was driving a black Honda Civic which collided with a brown Scania HGV.
The collision happened just before 3.00pm last Monday (12th May) on an unclassified road at Kingsland Barton.
Connor was pronounced dead at the scene.
His family have released a statement, through Devon and Cornwall Police:
“The family and friends of Connor Hobbs are devastated by his tragic death on Monday 12 May in the collision, a week short of his 23rd birthday.
“We are grateful for the loving comments and pictures that have been shared of our lovely boy who held family and friends dear to his heart.
“We would politely request that we are now left alone to grieve and process the events of his death.”
There's an ongoing appeal by police for information into the crash.
Officers are looking for dashcam footage from the area in particular.
