79-year-old injured in collision

The woman was believed to have suffered life-changing injuries which have now been deemed as minor

Police were called to a collision involving two vehicles, at 2.40pm on Wednesday 5 March.

Devon and Cornwall Police, Southwestern Ambulance Service Trust, and Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene on Bridge Road, Exeter.

As a result of the collision a 79-year-old local woman was initially believed to have suffered life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital.

Fortunately, the injuries have now been deemed as minor.

Bridge Road was closed to allow for a forensic examination of the scene and to allow for the recovery of the vehicles.

Devon & Cornwall Police are now appealing for any witnesses.
