Investigation underway after temporary classroom goes up in flames at Totnes school
Firefighters are looking at the cause of the fire at King Edward VI Community College that's destroyed a building
An investigation's underway into a fire at a Totnes school - that's completely destroyed a temporary classroom.
Flames could be seen for miles around as the building at King Edward VI Community College burned on Saturday night.
Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue say crews from Totnes Fire Station were supported by staff from Ashburton and Paignton and they needed to set-up a water relay due to the remote location.
Firefighters tell us they prevented the fire from spreading to a nearby building and were on scene for around four hours.
The school is currently closed for the Easter holidays with classes due to restart on the 20th of April.
