Teenager seriously injured in Devonport crash with van

A teenage boy's been seriously injured in a collision involving his bike and a white Transit van in Plymouth.

It happened on Kings Road in Devonport at around 5.50pm yesterday (Wednesday 7th May).

The boy was taken to Derriford Hospital by ambulance, but later transferred to Bristol Children's Hospital.

Police closed the road, near the entrance to Richmond Walk car park, for investigations, but it was reopened last night.

There's now an appeal for any witnesses to contact Devon and Cornwall officers by calling 101, quoting reference number 50250114197.
