Man charged following serious assault at South Molton pub

A man in his 30s sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital

A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with an assault at a South Molton pub over the weekend.

Jordan Foster, of Hugh Squier Avenue, South Molton, has been charged with wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent and common assault.

The charges relate to an incident at The Coaching Inn, Queen Street, which took place shortly after 9pm on Saturday 11 October.

During the incident, a man in his 30s sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital receiving treatment.

Foster appeared before Exeter Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13 October and was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear next at Exeter Crown Court on 13 November.
