Police following serious assault on dog walker in Plympton

A man was reportedly attacked while walking his dog in Yealmpstone Park

Police are searching for witnesses and relevant footage following a serious assault in Plympton, near Plymouth.

A man was reportedly attacked while walking his dog in Yealmpstone Park at around 11.30pm on Wednesday 26th November.

Officers said the victim was approached by two white males, and after a brief conversation, an altercation took place during which the victim sustained a laceration to his chest.

The injury required hospital treatment but the man has since been discharged.

The two suspects fled the scene in the direction of Maddock Close.

Descriptions of the suspects have been released:

The first suspect is described as a white male aged in his late teens to early 20s, slim to medium build, approximately 5ft 9ins tall, with short mousy brown hair styled in short back and sides and wearing a navy blue Adidas tracksuit.

The second suspect is slightly taller, also white and aged in his late teens to early 20s, with darker brown hair, stubble, and wearing jeans.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, has information, or may hold relevant footage such as CCTV to contact them via 101 or the Devon and Cornwall Police website quoting crime reference 50250304275.
