Residents set to return home as exclusion zone around Evolution Cove set to be lifted
It has been in place for more than four weeks
People living near the Evolution Cove were were evacuated from their properties due to safety concerns regarding the structure of the building are set to return home after over a month away.
Engineers discovered there were structural issues in the 64-unit apartment block, with an evacuation occurring on April 17th.
14 nearby households were evacuated.
Glenn Caplin-Grey, Strategic Director for Growth said: “We know this has not been an easy time for anyone – the residents of Evolution Cove, their neighbours who had to leave their homes and the residents and businesses of the wider Stonehouse peninsula.
“We would just like to say thank you for bearing with us.”
