Repairs underway on Exmouth's Queen's Drive seawall with completion expected by Friday
Partial seawall closure for essential concrete repairs until 25th September
Seawall repair works have commenced on Queen's Drive in Exmouth, focusing on a section between the RNLI Lifeboat Station and Orcombe Point.
East Devon District Council says contractors began work today on repairing damaged concrete at the top of the seawall to ensure it remains in good condition.
The repairs are expected to be completed by Friday 25th September, subject to favourable weather conditions.
Although the promenade will stay open, the footpath will be temporarily narrower to create a safe working area.
Additionally, a limited number of nearby parking bays are being utilised for site welfare facilities and equipment.
