A pregnant heifer has been stolen from a farm in East Devon, and police want to hear from anyone with information.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the Ayrshire cross pedigree heifer was taken from Deptford Farm, not far from Pennymoor and Nomansland.

The force said she was stolen at some point over the last month.

The heifer who was one of more than 350 cows at the fam weighs 550kg and is red and white in colour.

Police said there are concerns for the pregnant animal's wellbeing following the theft.

Anyone who witnessed or has footage of any suspicious behaviour in the area, such as the moving of trailers in the night, is asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police.
