Police have released new images as part of an investigation into a high value burglary that occurred at WANTS Jewellers on Armada way in Plymouth on Thursday 13 February.
Access was initially gained to the premises some time between 5:30pm and 7pm via a vacant property next door.
A suspect then proceeded to steal a large quantity of jewellery and watches.
He then left the scene via the roof of the next door property and onto Cornwall Street. The suspect then returned to the store around 10pm and stole further items.
The total loss is estimated to be between £220,000 and £240,000.
DS Paula Tucker, in charge of the investigation, said: “The investigation team is following a number of lines of enquiry and we are now releasing new images of a man we would like to identify and speak to.
“We have also released some images of stolen items.
“I would like to thank the public for all information provided so far and whilst we may not have been in contact with you personally, we are following up all lines of enquiry to eliminate or implicate all potential suspects.
“The images are not the best quality but are all we have at the moment. We are releasing them in the hope that it may jog someone’s memory, particularly in relation to the clothing worn by the man pictured.
“The images have been obtained over several days prior to the offence being committed.
“It has been established that a suspect gained entry to the vacant premises (previously Barista Brothers) next door and used it to access WANTS as early as 5 February.
“The suspect is known to have been in the city centre in the early hours of the evening on February 5, 6, 8, 9 and 12, around the Cornwall Street and Armada Way area.
“The suspect has also been seen in the Mutley Plain area. He is believed to be Eastern European and could have been staying locally in short term rented accommodation such as an Airbnb.”
