Police say they are treating claims of someone with a knife in Plymouth as a 'malicious report."

Officers were called at 10.50am this morning to the Honicknowle area after receiving a third-hand report of a young person walking in the Butt Park Road area with a knife.

Armed officers, neighbourhood officers, and response teams searched the area but did not find anything of note.

At this stage, police say they believe the report may have been "malicious".
