Witnesses sought after two police officers assaulted in Plymouth
Two officers injured in Collin Close disturbance
Detectives are calling for witnesses after a serious assault on two police officers in Plymouth.
The incident occurred around 7.50pm on Tuesday, 22nd September, when police responded to a disturbance at a property on Collin Close.
On arrival, officers were injured when a bottle shattered inside their marked police car.
Both officers received hospital treatment for cuts and were later discharged.
A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent, Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent, assaulting an emergency worker, and obstructing a constable.
He is currently in police custody.
The police presence in the area will be increased while investigations continue.
