Crash near Hollacombe leaves woman with life-threatening injuries
Emergency services were called to the A3072 yesterrday
Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash on the A3072 near Hollacombe left a woman critically injured.
The crash happened just before 4.25pm yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 14th July 2026) between a red Vauxhall Corsa and a blue Vauxhall Astra on the road linking Holsworthy and Brandis Corner.
The 53-year-old woman involved in the accident was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A 19-year-old man also suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
Authorities have informed the next of kin of both parties.
The road was temporarily closed to allow investigators to piece together what happened, with officers thanking the public for their cooperation.
Witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage are urged to come forward and assist with enquiries.
