Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after a fatal crash in Plymouth.

It involved a white Renault Master on Southway Lane yesterday afternoon (23 July).

A man in his 40s died at the scene.

In a statement, officers said: "We are appealing for witnesses and footage following a fatal road traffic collision in Southway Lane, Plymouth.

"Officers were called at around 2.30pm on Wednesday 23 July to the collision which involved a white Renault Master.

"Sadly, a man in his 40s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"The road was closed while an investigation was carried out.

"Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed and give thanks to those who gave first aid at the scene.

"Anyone with any relevant information and dash-cam footage which may assist the investigation is asked contact us via our website or by calling 101 quoting log 472 of 23/07/2025."
