Officers were called to Church Street at around 5.35 pm on Wednesday 5th August following allegations that a male was seen running with a knife and claiming responsibility for a serious assault.
A 17-year-old male from Topsham has been taken into custody on suspicion of wounding with intent, carrying a knife in a public place, and theft.
