Police appeal after motorcyclist seriously injured in M5 crash near Exeter

A man in his 50s was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on the M5 near Exeter.

The collision, which involved a motorbike and two cars, happened at 8.13am today (23 April) on the northbound carriageway between junctions 31 and 30.

The motorbike, a man in his 20s, sustained potentially life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The M5 was closed for several hours at junction 31 whilst the scene was examined by specialist forensic collision investigators.

It was reopened fully by around 2pm this afternoon (23 April).

Police would like any witnesses with information or dash cam footage to contact them.
