Police appeal after group assault man in Plymouth street

An appeal has been launched by Devon and Cornwall Police after a group of people three or four women reportedly assaulted a man in his 20s in a street in Plymouth.

Officers say they're investigating following the incident on Beacon Park Road last month.

Police report that a fight took place before the victim was then pushed over several times, punched and assaulted by several members of the group. He suffered a number of injuries including a broken hand.

They added: "The sustained attack took place between Beacon Electrical and The Cherry Tree pub from 3am until 3.25am on Sunday 20 April.

"Officers are investigating and seeking the suspects. The man was riding a 125cc red motorcycle and wearing a black helmet. The bike may have been a ‘19’ plate.

"They would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who may have captured the incident on CCTV, their doorbell cameras or dashcam.

"Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact police online or by telephone on 101, quoting crime reference 50250097424."
