Devon-based artist Pippa Unwin has earned a silver medal at the 35th International Snow Sculpture Festival held in San Candido, Italy.

Taking place from 2nd to 4th February 2026 as part of the Winter Olympic celebrations, Unwin impressed audiences and judges alike with her imaginative snow sculpture.

The festival attracted artists from around the globe, with around 30 participants competing in this annual event.

Unwin's work stood out among the entries, skillfully crafted using tools and water to transform fresh snow into intricate designs.

While Sweden and Italy secured gold medals, Unwin's sculpture captured the attention and admiration of festival attendees, earning her the silver medal in the audience award category.

Her achievement not only highlights her creativity but also brings a sense of pride to the UK art community.
