New electric bus fleet will include updated routes
Stagecoach South West has announced changes to its upcoming services in Exeter
A new bus service aims to reduce journey times between the different campuses of Exeter University, starting on August 30.
The new Line 4 route is being launched by Stagecoach - and is open to anyone to use, as part of efforts to cut congestion from cross-city traffic.
Peter Knight, Managing Director of Stagecoach West, said: "We're delighted to be introducing these improvements to the Line 4 service, making it quicker and more convenient for students, staff and the wider community to travel between the University's campuses and across Exeter.
"The introduction of new electric double-decker buses will also help deliver a more sustainable service and support the city's transition to greener public transport."
"The enhanced service will operate seven days a week, including the popular Saturday night service.
"With thousands of students preparing to return to Exeter ahead of the new academic year, the changes are designed to make travelling between key destinations across the city quicker, easier and greener."
