Motorcyclist hospitalised after crash involving deer on A38
The deer sadly didn't survive
A motorbike rider has been hospitalised after a crash involving a deer on the A38.
We're told it happened last night (17 June).
In a statement, officers said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a deer on the westbound carriageway of the A38 near Manadon at around 8.50pm on Tuesday 17 June.
"The male rider sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
"It was also reported that the deer had been in collision with another vehicle just before the incident. It did not survive.
"Lane one was closed while emergency services dealt with the scene and the road was clear at around 10.05pm."
