Motorcyclist dies on 'unclassified road' in Holsworthy

A 23-year-old was airlifted to hospital - and sadly later passed away

A motorcyclist has died after a crash in Holsworthy.

Police say it happened on what's been described as "an unclassified road" on Monday evening, and involved a pick-up truck.

A 23-year-old was airlifted to hospital and later died.

In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision on an unclassified road between Youldonmoor Cross and Holsworthy Beacon at around 17:29hrs on Monday 16th June 2025 involving a Red Suzuki motorcycle, and a White Ford Ranger.

"As a result of the collision, the 23 year old rider of the motorcycle was fatally injured.

"Police and ambulance services all attended the scene, along with the Devon Air Ambulance.

"Officers from the Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team attended the incident and carried out a detailed investigation of the scene.

"Anyone with any relevant information or video footage which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police via our website or by calling 101 quoting incident log 694 of 16/06/2025."
