A motorcyclist has died in a crash near Great Torrington.

Emergency services were called to Beaford at around 17:50 yesterday evening (14 May)

Police say a Harley Davidson motorcycle collided with a Mitsubishi Outlander parked on a driveway on the A3124.

In a statement, officers added: "Emergency services were called at 5.50pm after the Harley Davidson motorcycle was in collision with a Mitsubishi Outlander parked on a driveway on the A3124.

"The rider, in his 60s and from Barnstaple, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"Officers closed the road for five-and-a-half hours for investigative work including an examination of the scene.

"They are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

"Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV of the incident.
