Man seriously injured in Exeter stabbing

A man has been hospitalised with serious - but not life-threatening injuries - after a stabbing in Exeter.

Detectives are currently investigating reports of the incident, which is said to have happened in the Newcourt area of Exeter, in the early hours of this morning (17 June).

Officers said: "Police were notified just after midnight to reports that a man had been stabbed in the leg on Blakeslee Drive.

"The victim was taken to hospital. His injuries are serious but not believed to be life-threatening.

"The two suspects made off from the scene and are currently outstanding. They were described as male, wearing face coverings and dressed in dark clothing, and were using electric scooters prior to the incident.

"A scene guard is currently in place on Blakeslee Drive in Exeter while we continue with our enquiries.

"This is believed to have been an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to the public.

"Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage is asked to contact us via 101, or by visiting our website quoting 50250153140."
