Man seriously injured in Exmouth assault

The victim has been taken to hospital and a man has been arrested

A man has been seriously injured following an assault in Exmouth on Saturday.

Detectives are currently investigating the assault which took place outside KFC on Imperial Road, Exmouth, on Saturday.

Officers were initially called to the scene at around 8:15pm, following a report that a male had been punched and knocked to the ground, causing him to lose consciousness.

The victim has been taken to hospital.

A 31-year-old man from Exmouth has been arrested in connection with this incident and remains in custody at this time.
