Man hospitalised after 'violent incident' in Ilfracombe
Police are appealing for witnesses and footage

A man has been hospitalised following a violent confrontation involving hammers and a knife in Ilfracombe.
The incident occurred around 1.10pm on 16th April in High Street when it was reported that several men were fighting.
Two vehicles were damaged in the incident.
The man hospitalised sustained a facial injury and has been discharged. Another man involved suffered minor injuries.
Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the fight.
Two men, both in their 20s, were arrested: one is suspected of affray and the other taken in on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
They are currently in police custody.
Another man, in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon but has been released on police bail.
Enquiries into the incident are continuing, with Inspector Ewan Seear cautioning against sharing footage of the altercation on social media, as this could hinder legal proceedings.
Inspector Seear said, “We are aware of footage relating to this incident being shared on social media.
"We’d like to remind the public that this is an ongoing investigation and that sharing any such material online could jeopardise future legal proceedings.
"Anybody who has relevant footage or information who hasn’t yet spoken to us is asked to contact us on 101 or our website quoting 50260095088."
