Man dies after three-vehicle crash in Ivybridge

A man in his 50s from Ivybridge has died following a crash involving three vehicles on the A38 near Buckfastleigh.

The incident occurred shortly after 9:30am on Monday 20th July, leading to an extensive police investigation and vehicle recovery effort that kept the road closed for several hours.

The collision involved a white Vauxhall van, a green DAF goods vehicle, and a red Ford hatchback.

Despite the swift response from the emergency services, the van driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family has been informed, and authorities have expressed their gratitude to the public for their patience during the road closures.

Witnesses and Dash-Cam Footage Wanted

Investigators from the Devon and Cornwall Police Serious Collisions Investigation Team are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the vehicles before the collision to come forward.
