Man charged with murder after non-recent death of woman

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed a man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Plymouth last year.

Officers say they were notified at around 7.30pm on Monday 18 March 2024 to reports of a concern of welfare of a woman at an address on Rendle Street.

Emergency Services attended the property where a woman in her 50s was found deceased.

Mark Anthony Fitzgerald, 61, of Rendle Street, Plymouth, has now been charged with the murder of 54-year-old Lisa Paris.

Officers say he has been remanded in custody to appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court later today, Thursday 29 May.
