Man arrested amid sexual assault investigation in Plymouth

The incident is reported to have happened at Devil's Point car park earlier this month

A man has been arrested amid the police's investigation into reports of a sexual assault in Plymouth.

It happened at Devil's Point car park earlier this month.

Officers say they received a call stating that a man approached a woman in a parked vehicle in the car park at approximately 9.45am on Friday 18 April and sexually assaulted her.

A 31-year-old man from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.

He remains in police custody.

Inspector Katy Deer said: “Following our appeal on Monday, we have received a lot of calls in relation to this investigation.

“We would like to thank all those who have come forward with information.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
