Man arrested after suspected drugs found by police in Paignton

A man has been arrested in Paignton on suspicion of drug offences following a police operation that uncovered suspected drugs valued at thousands of pounds.
The Paignton Neighbourhood Police Team, in collaboration with the South Devon Neighbourhood Support Team, conducted the search at a local address on 8th July.
Items believed to be purchased with proceeds of crime were also confiscated and will be included in the ongoing investigation.
Inspector Pete Giesens said: “Suspected drugs with an estimated street value of thousands of pounds were seized. Officers also seized a number of items believed to have been purchased using proceeds of crime, which will form part of our ongoing investigation.
“A man was arrested on suspicion of Possession With Intent to Supply controlled drugs and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place. He was taken into police custody before being released on bail. Our enquiries are continuing.
“Information from the public continues to make a real difference so, if you have concerns about suspected drug activity in your community, please let us know. Together, we are making Paignton a safer place.”
