Motorcyclist seriously injured in M5 crash near Exeter
Police advise motorists to avoid the area as the road remains closed
A collision involving a motorcyclist and a car on the M5 Northbound near Exeter has resulted in serious injuries for the motorcyclist.
Emergency services were notified around 8.15am this morning and are currently at the scene.
Police have closed the M5 Northbound from Junction 31, the Okehampton turn off, to Junction 30, Sidmouth Road, affecting traffic flow in the area.
Motorists are facing congestion extending to the Racecourse junction on the A38 and onto the A379 through Exeter.
The force are advising motorists to avoid the area due to the road closure as they continue to manage the situation.
