A kitten's had a lucky escape after being found in a police patrol car at Crownhill Police station.

A feint miaowing sound was heard coming from the engine and the vehicle was taken to the nearby branch of Kwik-Fit who helped release the animal.

It turned out to be a 2 day old kitten, who officers presume was born there, after mum looked for somewhere dry to give birth.

The PDSA have checked over the kitten and she's now been adopted by a local officer.

Plympton Police are asking for suggestions for a name.

Kwik-Fit or Kwik-Kit?
