Police say investigations continue after hundreds of kilos of cannabis was found destined for Exeter.

The South West Regional Organised Crime Unit say a man in his 40s was arrested at his address in South East London on March 3, whilst a second man in his 20s from Blackburn was arrested earlier this week.

A spokesperson added: "Both were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the importation of class B drugs and being concerned in the supply of class B drugs following the interception of a shipment of household furniture by UK Border Force.

"Hidden inside the furniture were two consignments containing a total of 800 kilos of cannabis addressed to a premises in Exeter. Both men have been bailed and investigations are ongoing. "
