Woman dies after three vehicle collision near Musbury
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A woman has dies after a three vehicle collision near Musbury at the weekend.
Just after 2pm on yesterday, police received a report of a serious crash involving a three-wheeler Invictus trike, a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a VW Golf car, on the A358 between Boshill Cross and Musbury.
The incident was attended by both the police and the ambulance service. The rider, a woman in her 70s from the Taunton area, died at the scene.
The male rider of the motorbike was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries. The male driver of the car was not hurt.
An investigation of the crash scene was carried out by Roads Policing Officers and forensic collision investigators.
The road was closed off for several hours whilst the investigation took place. It was reopened just after 7pm.
