A man attempted to take a bag from a woman on Riverside Walk.
Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery in Tavistock at the weekend.
Officers received reports shortly after 12.10pm on Sunday of a man attempting to take a bag from a woman with a push chair on Riverside Walk.
He was described as white, mid-30s to early-40s, of medium build, around 6ft tall and wearing a black hoody.
Police believe this was an isolated incident but they say there will be an increased police presence while the investigation is carried out.
