Girl approached by men in 'suspicious incident' in Torrington
Police are asking witnesses to come forward
A girl's been approached by men in a car in Torrington - in what Devon and Cornwall Police are describing as a 'suspicious incident'.
The girl was walking in the Hatchmoor Lane area between 5.45 and 6.05pm last Thursday (17th April), when two unknown men came up to her, in a vehicle.
They tried to engage her in conversation but the girl didn't reciprocate and the car left the area.
It's believed the vehicle was a black BMW or Audi with tinted rear windows, a spoiler and crosshatched alloys.
The men inside were both wearing balaclavas.
Acting Detective Inspector Ben Cartwright said: “At this time we don’t know the registration number of the car and we’re appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen a car matching the description, to please get in touch.
“Officers have been conducting enquiries in the area over the past few days including house to house and CCTV checks as part of our investigation.
“Additionally, anyone who lives in the area and may have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage is asked to check it and report any relevant information to us.”
