Forever and Always garden at Derriford Hospital targeted by vandals

The damage is said to have been beyond repair

Sentimental items at a children’s memorial garden in Plymouth have been damaged beyond repair.

The Forever and Always Garden at Derriford Hospital was targeted by vandals between the 29th and 30th June.

Items were stolen from a shed in the garden during the incident.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that inquiries are ongoing.

This is not the first time the memorial garden has faced such issues, with previous reports of theft and shed break-ins.

In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police told us: "We have been made aware following a report of damage to a memorial garden at Derriford Hospital overnight between 29 and 30 June.

"It was further reported that a number of items were stolen from a shed.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
