Firefighters tackle blaze at Cornwood property as it spreads

Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a property in Cornwood.
Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service was called not long after 5am this morning (Tuesday 11 August 2026).
The fire service said:
"Three fire engines were initially sent to a report of a domestic property on fire with possible persons still inside the property.
"On arrival crews confirmed the property was well alight and requested another 3 fire engines and water bowser to assist. Shortly after, due to the fire spreading to other buildings at the location, a further 4 fire engines (10 in total) was sent to assist.
"Crews are currently trying to extinguish the fire. All persons have been accounted for. Police and Ambulance are also in attendance."
Devon and Cornwall Police said:
"We were called at 6am on Tuesday 11 August following a report of a house fire at Tin Park in Cornwood.
"Emergency services attended the scene and the fire has since been extinguished.
"Three occupants have been taken to hospital, one of whom is believed to have suffered serious injuries.
"Investigation work to determine the cause of the fire is ongoing."
