Exeter has been named as one of the best places to live in Britain, according to a new survey.
The Devon city ranked highly on a Guardian poll, which looked at a variety of different metrics to make its decisions.
Among these that were considered by the paper included driving times to local amenities and healthcare, as well as broadband speeds and leisure activities in the area.
According to the survey, Exeter had a number of various elements that made it one of the best places to live in Britain, including its "geographical position that many of its residents enjoy" - including access to local nature spots such as Exmoor and Datmoor.
The city's "thriving independent coffee and food scene" was also imperative to the city's ranking, helping to boost local businesspeople.
They added: "Depending on the wind direction, when you’re strolling along Exeter’s High Street you might catch a sea breeze from Lyme Bay or the heathery scents of Dartmoor.
"Not that getting out of Exeter is necessary. There’s plenty to do. The shopping is varied. Most of the high street stores are here but there are also terrific independent shops. On Fore Street you’ll find specialists ranging from a luxury belt maker to a vintage record player restorer."
Other places in the South West were also featured on the list, including Penzance and Devizes in Wiltshire.
