A man in his 80s has died after a crash between his bike and tractor at East Worlington.

The collision, involving a tractor towing a trailer and an electric-assisted bicycle, occurred on a rural road at around 1.20pm yesterday (Wednesday 1st July).

The cyclist, a local man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The road was closed temporarily while the investigation took place, and the vehicles were recovered before the scene was handed over to the local authority just before 11 o'clock last night.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the collision or anyone who has dashcam footage.
