Driver dies and another seriously hurt in crash on A386 near Okehampton
Police are seeking information following the collision
A man lost his life and another driver was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash on the A386 near Okehampton.
The incident occurred between Hatherleigh and Folly Gate at approximately 1.50pm on Tuesday, 19th May.
Emergency services responded to the collision, which involved a silver BMW estate, a white Ford Transit van, and a white Citroen Relay Luton van.
The BMW's driver, a 33-year-old man from Okehampton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford Transit van, a 74-year-old man from Bude, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Derriford Hospital.
The Citroen van's driver was not injured.
The road was closed for several hours as officers carried out a forensic investigation.
