As the World Cup continues, footballers will come together today for an annual competition featuring teams made up of the different nationalities who call Devon home.

The annual five-a-side tournament is in support of ‘Kick Racism Out of Football’ and the 22nd yearly iteration of the tournament, from 10am–3pm, is organised by Exeter International Football Club in partnership with Exeter City Community Trust.

The World Cup-style event celebrates inclusion, diversity and unity through football.

The competition encourages participation from local Black and minority ethnic teams and attracts players from many different backgrounds.

Previous winners have included teams representing Poland, Slovakia, Afghanistan and Lithuania, highlighting the diversity within the city.
