"Our new tagline needs to be you know you don't need California because it's here, beautiful Salcombe.
"There's other places, there's Nos Mayo, Blackpool Sands, Stoke Fleming. There's all sorts of areas around the region that they have used as their set."
Ms Culkin added the community is proud the area and the cafe have been featured in the movie:
"As a community and the people in the town are very, very proud. It's not just about us, it really is a huge collaborative effort of that's us.
"You know, when they go and watch it in the cinema and they see their coastline or they see The Winking Prawn, there's this cheer."
