A man arrested on suspicion of murder will face no further action
The death of a woman whose body was found at an address in Torquay is no longer being treated as suspicious, police have said.
Officers were called by the ambulance service to an address on Teignmouth Road, Torquay, just before 9pm on Tuesday 27th October.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
A murder investigation was launched yesterday but in an update today (29 October) police said a forensic post-mortem had been carried out and it found "no evidence to suggest anyone else was involved."
They said the most likely cause of death is believed to have been natural causes.
A man in his 50s from Torquay who was arrested on suspicion of murder will face no further police action in relation to the woman's death.
Detective Inspector Jason Kelly said: “We would like to thank members of the public for their support and patience during this investigation.
“Our thoughts remain with the family of the deceased.”
