Six people charged with murder of Danny Cahalane in Plymouth
All six people will appear before Plymouth Magistrates' Court tomorrow
Six people have been charged with the murder of 38-year-old Danny Cahalane in Plymouth earlier this year.
Cahalane, from Plymouth, was taken to hospital after he was allegedly seriously assaulted at a house on Lipson Road in the early hours of February 21st.
He was taken to hospital, where he remained until May 3rd, when he passed away - despite the best efforts of medical staff.
Following the initial assault, Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed that six people have been charged with the man's murder.
The suspects, whose ages range from 21 to 34 - were all charged with murder by officers on Monday (June 2nd).
All but one of the suspects is also from the London area, while Paris Wilson, aged 34, is from the Plymouth area.
All six will go appear before Plymouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday (June 3rd) charged with Cahalane's murder.
In total, nine different suspects will have appeared in court in connection with the incident, after three other suspects were previously charged with other offences.
Following his death, Danny's family paid tribute, saying in an earlier statement: "As a family, we are struggling to come to terms with Danny’s passing. Danny was an outstanding father and son.
"Danny and his mum had so much love for each other. He is well loved by his family and friends and as a family we cherish his love and memories. We ask the family are please given privacy and respect during this time."
