Four injured in Budleigh Salterton crash

Two people taken to hospital with serious injuries after crash on the B3178 in East Devon.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Budleigh Salterton that has left four people injured.

Emergency services were called at 4.15pm on Sunday 27 July to a two-car crash on the B3178 at Knowle Hill.

A 67-year-old woman from Exeter, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital. A 62-year-old male also from Exeter, suffered serious injuries.

A 79-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman from Budleigh Salterton were treated for minor injuries.

Officers closed the road for around seven hours while a full scene investigation was carried out.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
